10 new Quebec campgrounds to discover in 2026
Newly built, recently renovated or under new management — the rigs we’ll be reviewing this summer.
Each year a handful of Quebec campgrounds open or change hands. We’ve shortlisted ten worth your attention for the 2026 season — half newly built, half under significant renovation or new management.
Newly built
- Camping Boréal — Lanaudière. 80 sites, full hookups, opened July 2025. Pickleball courts and a heated pool — leaning glamping.
- Camping du Bocage — Montérégie. Farmstay vibe, 24 sites only, free organic breakfast. Books out the week reservations open.
- Camping Tour du Lac — Mauricie. Loop around a private lake, 32 waterfront sites. Premium pricing, premium experience.
- Camping Pointe-Bleue — Gaspésie. Beach access, gravel pull-throughs, generator-friendly until 22 h.
- Camping Vallée Vapeur — Estrie. Eco-luxury concept, treehouses and traditional sites mixed.
Renovated or new management
- Camping des Voyageurs — Outaouais. Took over in 2024, gravel re-graded, dump station overhauled, Wi-Fi actually works now.
- Camping Lac Bleu — Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean. New owners, new dock, the older loop is now the better loop.
- Camping Aurore Boréale — Côte-Nord. Dark sky upgrade, lights now amber and downward-pointing.
- Camping de l’Anse — Bas-Saint-Laurent. Bathrooms gutted and rebuilt 2025 — finally.
- Camping Mont-Doré — Laurentides. Re-graded, added 12 50-amp pull-throughs for big rigs.
